NPS Superintendent Stan Austin announced a meeting for the general public (a Community Open House) on Wednesday, January 13 from 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Park Headquarters. Supt. Austin and park staff will "answer questions and provide information on park activities, seasonal employment, an update on the Rim Trail, highlights on resource management projects, information on boating safety and much more". Refreshments will be served and activities for children are planned.
The public is also invited to attend a meeting to discuss plans and share ideas abouit Zebra Mussel control on Lake Powell. This meeting will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
